Heardle is a music game developed by Heardle. This game puts a spin on the popular word puzzle game Wordle by having players guess the mystery song of the day. Like its inspiration, you will only have six tries available.
For Heardle, players will have snippets of the songs as clues. Every time you key in your guess, the snippet will become progressively longer. Although, unlike Wordle, you don't have to make a guess each time. You can skip through the sounds until you think you know the answer. However, like word game, you only have one song per day.
How do you play Heardle?
Wordle is a word game that took social media by storm. And due to its popularity, various variations of the game have sprouted online. There's Worldle, which tests your geography knowledge, and Dungeleon, featuring fantasy characters. There is even a battle royale version called Squabble that puts you with up to 99 players in a race to figure out the correct word of the day.
Heardle is yet another variation of Wordle. As mentioned, the topic is all about music. Here, you will listen to a snippet of the song of the day and try to guess it. These snippets become progressively longer with each unsuccessful attempt. As with word game, you only have six tries. However, you can choose to skip through the sound and type in your guess until you know the answer.
According to its website, the songs featured in Heardle are taken from a list of the most-streamed songs in the past decade. Once you get the answer right, you can share your result on your social media pages. Note, however, that you only have one song per day. After guessing it right or using all of your six tries, you have to wait 24 hours for the next puzzle.
Is the game good?
If you are a fan of both Worldle and music, Heardle is for you. It has the same premise as the popular word game that learning the mechanics is easy. Moreover, it uses music popular in the last decade, making it easy for you to guess the song. However, you only have one song to guess per day. Additionally, it requires a web browser to play.
